The push to create a vaccine that will end the COVID-19 crisis is putting pressure on medical scientists. University of Arizona infectious disease researcher Elizabeth Connick studied the race to beat H-I-V and says a similar long-range approach might be necessary to handle the coronavirus.

Elizabeth Connick spoke with Leslie Tolbert, Ph. D regents' professor emerita in Neuroscience at the University of Arizona.
